Is acupuncture painful?
Acupuncture needles are different than hypodermic needles you've experienced in a doctor's office. They are solid and as thin as a strand of hair - You can fit over fifty into one hypodermic needle! There will be a sensation when the needle is placed, but then you will mostly not feel it. Most people find acupuncture very relaxing, and often fall asleep!
